We had a wonderful time listening to and discussing with Dr. Naama Barnea-Goraly last night (8/26). At the event, we heard about Dr. Naama's childhood, education in Israel, experience at medical school, Stanford research, journey in academia, how she decided to found her startup (Girltelligence), and advice for young women and aspiring STEMinists! Then we had a chance to ask questions and discuss. I recorded the event, so feel free to shoot me an email ([email protected]) and ask for access. Some of my main takeaways were that yes, I will eventually be doubted or overlooked as a woman, but there are many ways to get around it, and that supporting other women along with yourself is extremely important. Some feedback included: "The talk was both extremely engaging and very informative!" and "I can't wait for the next Her Journey in STEM workshop!" See below for some screenshots of my favorite slides.
